Thank you so much!

I received my first award - The Sunshine Award - from Short Southern Momma (http://www.imasouthernmomma.com/)- Thank you so much.

And now I want to pass this award on to Trisomy 18 mommies to make them smile.  Reading their stories about their precious children shows that miracles do happen and God is great.  Please read their blogs and lift them up in prayer as well as all mommies.

Some have already gained their angel wings and others are still being held in their mommies' arms, but no matter what they have touched our lives beyond imagination.  It has been 2 months 1 week 1 day since Aiden earned his angel wings and I miss him more and more.  I realized the other day when I'm looking for a babysitter for my 2 older children so hubby and I can go out, my little Aiden has the best babysitter of all - GOD and knowing that gives me comfort but does not take away the pain.

I Heart You Weekend!

This past weekend, Shane & I were invited by his boss to the Mississippi Seedman's Association Conference.  I have to admit I love going with Shane to his conferences, usually I get to sleep in and go shopping, basically do what I want.  This weekend was a little different, they had an event especially for the wives - I'll get to that in a moment.  We left Friday afternoon headed to Harrah's Casino (formerly the Grand) in Tunica, MS.
Doesn't this place look fabulous, they have 3 gorgeous hotels, ours was the Veranda.
On Friday evening, there was a short meet and great, then off to dinner at
where we met some old friends, Trey & Staci, from State (for those who don't know that means Mississippi State) and Shane's boss.  I had the Lamb Rib Roast, I wish I had taken a picture of this dish, it was absolutely delicious.

On Saturday, there was a joint breakfast before the men went to meetings - I didn't quite make the breakfast, I did mention I like to sleep in.  But I did make it to the ladies event - a cooking demonstration by the Head Chef Tammy at the Paula Deen Buffet.  No it wasn't Paula Deen herself but it was her fabulous recipes and Chef Tammy did it justice plus I found out the Chef was originally from Bastrop, LA (my hometown).  She prepared 2 dishes, 1 a Southern staple - Chicken Pot pie and the other has definitely become one of my new favorites - Chocolate Cookie Truffle, which I plan to make very soon.
They also gave away little "happies" and door prizes, I forgot to take a picture of what was in the box (my happy) was a Tyler Candle Company perfumed candle.  My door prize was the tower of Peter's Pottery sherbert dishes with a recipe attached.
You can view more of these pieces at http://www.peters-pottery.net/.  This is going to be one of new favorite pieces.

NOW FOR THE BEST OF THE WEEKEND!!!!!!

My sweet, loving, adorable hubby believes that Valentine's Day is for the ladies and I never argue with that because I LOVE PRESENTS!!!  And after reading this book, we realized Shane's love language is giving so I gladly accept them.  If you have not read this book, it is a great book for any marriage.
Shane surprised me with a pearl necklace, bracelet, and earrings.  He never ceases to amaze me.

I love you, my sweet hubby!

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins.

A Girls' Must Haves Giveaway

My dearest friends know that one of fashion weakspots is PURSES - I love them!! I tend to buy inexpensive ones because I change them so often. My dear hubby made me get rid of a few (15 or so) a few months back and since then I have been trying to replenish the inventory. I have animal prints, fabrics, leathers, you name it.

Anyway, back to the great giveaway - one of the blogs I follow is hosting the giveaway click on the link below and enter for your chance to win.

Here are a few of my favorites. . .

What do you think??

May the words of my mouth and the mediation of my heart be pleasing to you, "O LORD, my rock and my redeemer."
